Job Opportunities

Children’s Services Coordinator

Lead our children’s programming with a focus on trauma-informed care, service coordination, and family support.

Building Maintenance

Keep our facilities safe and welcoming by performing general maintenance, repairs, and upkeep across all sites.

Licensed Mental Health Counselor

Provide individual counseling to survivors of domestic and/or sexual violence, including children, adolescents, and adults.

Facilitate trauma-informed support groups focused on empowerment, coping strategies, and emotional healing. Conduct clinical assessments and develop individualized, strengths-based treatment plans.

Master’s Degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a closely related field.

Current Rhode Island LMHC license (or license-eligible within 6 months). Minimum 2 years of clinical experience working with survivors of trauma, preferably domestic or sexual violence. Strong understanding of trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and empowerment-based care models

Shelter Case Manager

Provide case management, crisis intervention, advocacy, and support services to residents of Safe Homes (domestic violence shelters).

Sexual Assault Services Program (SASP) Victim Advocate

Provide trauma-informed services to survivors of sexual assault through our SASP program, including crisis intervention and advocacy.

1 First shift 8 am-4 pm position

1 Second shift 4 pm-12 am position

Domestic violence is a pattern of abusive behavior used to gain power and control over a partner or family member. It can be physical, emotional, verbal, sexual, or financial. At BVAC, we educate survivors and communities on how to recognize the signs of abuse and how to take action safely.
